In June 1997, the first McDonald's Restaurant opened in Phinikoudes, Larnaca, in Cyprus, by family Restaurants Co. Ltd. The company was established by Mr. Michalis Andreou and his brotherMr. Renos Andreou. Today there are 16 McDonald's Restaurants in the non-occupied part of Cyprus (5 in Nicosia, 3 in Limassol, 2 in Larnaca, 2 in Paphos, 1 Ayia Napa and 1 in Paphos).
