The dishes are attractively served and besides conventional curries, biryani and tandoori dishes, the menu has a good selection of specialities. Chicken lolly puffs-deep-fried-spicy chicken wings with garlic sauce-are popular, as is the Prawn Piri-a deep-fried Indian pastry topped with prawns which have been cooked in a coconut and groundnut sauce. The main course specialities include Chicken "65", which has been cooked in masala with yoghurt, ginger and mild spices. For those who like a hot curry the Mangalorean prawns are cooked in butter with coconut milk, coriander seeds, Tamarind and red chillies. There is a vegetarian section which includes chana masala-chick peas cooked with tomatoes and mild spices. The wine list offers local and imported wines along with a selection of drinks which no one can deny. |
